NCAA Tournament in Sacramento

Golden One Center

I know it’s November 1st, but is it really too soon to start thinking about March Madness?

If you live in Sacramento, the answer is absolutely not!

If you haven’t heard yet, Sacramento will host Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. Tickets for the two day event- Friday, March 17th and Sunday, March 19th- went on sale today.

In fact, only pre-sale began today.

If you’re interested in tickets, just go TicketMaster’s NCAA Basketball website. The promo code is March17 to access early tickets. General tickets don’t go on sale until Saturday, November 5th.

When we heard the news that the first two rounds would be at the Golden 1 Center, we were thrilled.

My husband and I both enjoy ourselves a little college basketball throughout the season, but we love March Madness.

Each game is so unpredictable! It’s like every team gets to start over and each school is just one game away from elimination or moving closer to the championship.

And guess who is equally excited that the tournament is coming to Sacramento?- My parents.

They are huge college basketball fans and have been going to the Tournament for many years now. They are both retired and live in Visalia, California and are happy to travel for the games.

In fact, not only will they be coming to Sacramento for Rounds 1 and 2, they will also be heading over to San Jose to catch the West Regional games on March 23rd & 25th.

So, while the college basketball season hasn’t even started yet, we are excited to celebrate in March!

If you live in the Sacramento region, you should really consider going to the Tournament. I know the tickets aren’t cheap, but Round 1 and 2 means you’ll get a ton of games, and you might see a lower seed knock off a highly-seeded team.

Why watch it on TV, when you can be there??

For those that will be traveling to Sacramento to see the Tournament, you are going to love our city! The Golden 1 Center is truly beautiful. And when you’re not watching games, we have endless places to eat and shop.

I’ll post more on all the awesome things to do in Sacramento- for those of you who will be visiting- when we get closer to March.

For now, book those tickets!!
