Gifts That Won’t Break The Bank

Present for a friend

When it comes to birthdays, I am firm believer in celebrating the heck out of them.

Why not take the opportunity to completely relish in the accomplishments of the previous year and the new opportunities that are coming your way?

It’s your own personal New Years.

I don’t just feel this way about my birthday, I’m a big fan of extending it to my friends too.

So when a friend’s birthday comes around, I like to get them a little something to let them know how much they mean to me.

Of course, once you extend this past your immediate group of friends, the cost can quickly add up.

So here are few simple ideas for gifts under $20 for any friend celebrating another candle on her birthday cake.

Gift Card to Local Boutique Workout Studio

If your town is anything like where I live (Sacramento), you are starting to see a lot of boutique workout studios pop up. From spin to Barre, these smaller classes with fun workout concepts are growing.

The upside is the workouts tend to be really fun, challenging and interesting. The downside is they can be pretty costly.

If you have a friend that is fitness inclined, why not get them a gift card to any of these spots? This way they can check out a class or two.

Or they can take advantage of a free class for new students (many of these studios offer such a thing) and then use the gift card towards a bundle of classes.

Make it even better by trying out the studio with them. This way you have a gift and get girl time all in one.

Lululemon Headband

If you are anything like me, seeing a Lululemon bag just makes you smile. Although their stuff is amazing, it isn’t cheap.

However, they do have a great selection of headbands for under $20. They are prefect for any kind of workout and wonderful for weekend wear too.

From the Fringe Fighter headband, a broad band to keep hair pulled back and sleek, to the Cardio Cross Trainer headband which is great for working out, your friend will be thankful for the hair help.

Gift Card to a Local Nail Salon

If your friend looks forward to a nice afternoon of relaxation, hook her up with a gift card to a local salon that you love.

A $20 gift card should cover most manicures. If she’s in the mood for a pedicure or cut and color, the gift card is a nice amount to put towards the service she enjoys.

Much like the workout idea, why not treat yourself too and make it a girls day at the salon? It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

But more than anything, I just feel good about getting a good friend a card and letting her know how much she mean to me.

Birthdays are to be celebrated, and they are a great time to tell a good friend how they make your life a little brighter.
